My Story

I am told my spontaneity is what makes me a good artist. I tend to go with the flow and am willing to switch directions on a piece in progress. I try to embrace imperfections which is what inspired my studios name: The Cracked Pot Studio.  At the moment I am splitting my time equally between wheel throwing and handbuilding.

My interest in pottery began freshman year of High School and it has only grown since then. I was a pottery T.A. my Senior year of High School and then went on to take pottery classes in college at the University of Minnesota

.

In 2012 I began working as a teaching assistant at the Center for Clay Art in Lake Hiawatha NJ. In the beginning of 2013 the Center for Clay Art became the Cracked Pot Studio as I began running the studio, including teaching the classes, myself. I teach people of all ages and all levels of experience.

In the summer of 2018 I sold my NJ studio and made the move home to Minnesota where I started working at Dock Six Pottery as their classroom manager. I am super excited about this new opportunity to share my love of clay with the MN community.
